Job Summary: The Development and Projects Manager is a key leadership position responsible for expanding the NGO's objectives, raising donations, developing and executing projects, and leveraging their extensive NGO experience to foster growth and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan in line with the organization's mission and goals.

    • Identify new focus areas, partnerships, and opportunities to expand the NGO's reach and impact.

  2. Fundraising and Donor Relations:

    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors.

    • Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor engagement, and fundraising campaigns.

    • Develop innovative fundraising strategies to secure financial support for projects and programs.

  3. Project Development and Management:

    • Identify and assess project opportunities that align with the NGO's mission.

    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and performance indicators.

    • Oversee project execution, ensuring goals are met, and outcomes are measured.

  4. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, volunteers, and board members, to execute projects effectively.

    • Provide leadership and guidance to team members and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

  5. NGO Experience and Best Practices:

    • Leverage previous NGO experience to bring best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to The Helping Club.

    • Stay updated on trends and developments in the non-profit sector.

  6. Reporting and Impact Assessment:

    • Develop and maintain systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact of projects.

    • Prepare reports and communicate results to stakeholders, donors, and the board of directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, social work, international development).

  • Extensive experience working in the non-profit sector with a track record of successful project management and fundraising.

  • Strong network within the NGO and donor community.

  • Exceptional strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Commitment to the organization's mission and values.
