Job Summary: The Development and Projects Manager is a key leadership position responsible for expanding the NGO's objectives, raising donations, developing and executing projects, and leveraging their extensive NGO experience to foster growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a strategic growth plan in line with the organization's mission and goals.
Identify new focus areas, partnerships, and opportunities to expand the NGO's reach and impact.
Fundraising and Donor Relations:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual and institutional donors.
Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor engagement, and fundraising campaigns.
Develop innovative fundraising strategies to secure financial support for projects and programs.
Project Development and Management:
Identify and assess project opportunities that align with the NGO's mission.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and performance indicators.
Oversee project execution, ensuring goals are met, and outcomes are measured.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, volunteers, and board members, to execute projects effectively.
Provide leadership and guidance to team members and volunteers, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
NGO Experience and Best Practices:
Leverage previous NGO experience to bring best practices, lessons learned, and innovative approaches to The Helping Club.
Stay updated on trends and developments in the non-profit sector.
Reporting and Impact Assessment:
Develop and maintain systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact of projects.
Prepare reports and communicate results to stakeholders, donors, and the board of directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., nonprofit management, social work, international development).
Extensive experience working in the non-profit sector with a track record of successful project management and fundraising.
Strong network within the NGO and donor community.
Exceptional strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
